~ "TURNING TWENTY" QUILT SHOW ! ! ! ~

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE "TURNING TWENTY" QUILTS!

 

I JUST LOVE IT ! ! !  Of  course I would, it has my favorite colors in it, along with Polka Dots and a Leopard Print! 

NOW,  . . . I thought it would be fun to see your "TURNING TWENTY" Quilts, so I have decided to have a Quilt Show!

Here are the rules:

1.  Piece a "Turning Twenty" quilt top between now and Friday July 11, take a picture of it, and email me the picture.  You don't have to make the queen size, any size will work!  (You know what, I am even going to make this easier!  If you already have a "Turning Twenty" Quilt or Quilt top that you have pieced in the past, you can enter it!)

HOW EASY IS THAT ! ! !

I would love for you to send a brief story with your picture.  It would be interesting to know the story behind each of your quilts or quilt tops. 

LET US KNOW:

     ~ is this your first "Turning Twenty" quilt, if not, how many have you made ~

     ~ why did you select the fat quarters that you did - (now that we all know what a fat quarter is!) ~

     ~what are your plans for this quilt ~

     ~ when did you piece the quilt ~

I will display your quilt and quilt top pictures, and the story that goes with them, on by Blog, Monday, July 14.  Please email your pictures and stories to me as soon as you possibly can (by July 11 would be good)!  My email address is ~ donnasintheattic@sbcglobal.net ~

THEN . . .  I will need judges.  That is where all of you viewers will want to jump in and vote for you favorite quilt top!

I WILL BE GIVING AWAY TWO PRIZES ! ! ! 

     ~ One for the quilt top receiving the most votes as the "Viewers Favorite", and  . . .

     ~ the other for one of the lucky voters (or commenter's).

The winning quilt top owner will win a "5 fat quarter bundle" of these Amy Butler fabrics!

Then, there are 3 ways you can get your name in the drawing for the second PRIZE.

     1.  post something about this QUILT SHOW on your Blog and let me know - you can use any picture and information in this Post on your Blog -

     2. the day of the Show, comment or vote on your favorite quilt -

     3.  enter a Quilt Top in the show . . .

In other words, you can be entered 3 times for the second prize!

The second PRIZE will be a wall hanging made out of similar colors of fabric as the fabric pictured below.  I would show it to you, but I don't have it made yet!  (WOW . .  I HAVE GOT TO GET BUSY !)  When I get it made, I will show you in a later post!

WHAT DO YOU THINK of the colors?  Right now, I am thinking beige and rose shades.

OK, I know there are alot of quilters out there, so please HELP ME!  Even if you have never made a quilt, but have a sewing machine, YOU CAN DO THIS!    Believe me, after you piece one quilt top, you will be hooked!
