~ Well, the QUILTING has been put to the side and the COOKING has begun ! ! ! ~

~  TODAY, I cannot let myself go upstairs!  I have got to get in the kitchen and COOK!

I think I will start with the "PEPPER SOUP"  If you do not have this Recipe, go back to my Post, "PEPPER SOUP" on August 19,  and you can copy it from there.

I am going to throw it together tonight and cook it in my Crock Pot on low all day tomorrow.

FOR THE STEW ~ I had a Dear Girlfriend email me last night, and she has volunteered to make the Stew, Cornbread, and Pumpkin Pie!

NOW, FOR THE BROCCOLI AND CHEESE SOUP ~ first of all, I want to say "THANK  YOU" to Holley at www.windycornersusa.blogspot.com for sharing this Recipe with me! 

~  HOLLEY'S BROCCOLI AND CHEESE SOUP  ~

Make a White Sauce, set aside ~

Cook your Broccoli in Chicken Broth ~ Process in Blender ~ Pour in a large Soup Pot ~

Whisk in the White Sauce ~

Add a little Dijon Mustard, White Salt, and Shredded Cheddar Cheese ~

Reserve some of the Cheddar Cheese to Garnish ~

~ You know, I have emailed Holley, and she has helped me with more details on the Soup.  She does not think that I can prepare it ahead of time and then just reheat it.  There is a chance that the ingredients may separate.

Now, I have become a little nervous about waiting until Friday afternoon to prepare it.  I know I will be rushing around trying to have everything ready, so I think I had better go with a different Recipe.

Holley, I appreciate all of your HELP.  I will be making your Soup, but at a later date.

~  I have been trying to think all day of what other good Soup Recipe I might have. 

I have a Taco Soup Recipe, but I think it is to similar to the other two Soups.  

Well, about 3:45 pm, I had another one of my Sweetest Girlfriends, Haley Begert, come by work.  She said she had a Delicious Creamy Chicken and Noodles Soup Recipe.

She went straight home and faxed me the Recipe!

It sounds so Good, so that is what I am going to prepare.  It only has 5 ingredients; Chicken Breasts, Cream of Chicken Soup, Butter, Chicken Broth and Egg Noodles.   It is cooked in a Slow Cooker for 6 - 8 hours, so I am going to go with that.

~  I have put all of the ingredients together, and I am going to leave it in the Refrigerator tonight.  I will put it on to cook tomorrow morning before I go to work.

While we were visiting, Haley mentioned serving Garlic Bread when she makes this recipe.  So, while I was at the Grocery Store, I decided to buy a couple of bags of the Pillsbury Frozen Grand Butter Tastin Biscuits.  I think I am going to cook them just before the Party begins and Brush the tops with Garlic Butter.

~ NOW, . . .  we have got to make Pimiento Cheese for Finger Sandwiches. 

I hate to say it, but I don't make Pimiento Cheese!  My Mother-in-Law makes it all the time and it is so good.

I called her and asked for her Secret Recipe.  Here it is!

PIMIENTO CHEESE

2 lbs Velveeta Cheese

Kraft Mayonnaise

Diced Pimientos

and Crushed Pineapple

I couldn't hardly believe it when she said Pineapple.  So, I called her again today just to double check, and sure enough that was right.  She said the Pineapple gives it just a little added flavor so it is not so flat!

While your Cheese is cold, shred it in a large bowl.  Add diced pimientos to the cheese.  Slowly add some Pineapple and small amounts of Mayonnaise.   Mix well.  Continue to add Mayonnaise and Pineapple until it is the consistency that you like and a flavor tat is slightly sweet.

UUuuummmm ! ! !  IT IS DELICIOUS!

I have got to put it in HIGH GEAR, and get my Pies and Brownies made.  I have decided to wait on the Chocolate Chip Cookies and make Brownies instead.  They will be faster!
