Lori takes the t-shirts, prepares them, and then pieces the Top for me.
Didn't she do a Great Job!
I think it turned out SO CUTE!
Jackie I hope you LOVE IT!

Very nice! Exactly how do you prepare the t-shirts to make a quilt? I have a whole box of my daughter's band t-shirts to make a quilt for her and have no idea how to go about it.
Make sure the t-shirts have been washed and no fabric softner used.
Press your shirts to get a smooth surface.
A t-shirt is so stretchy that you have to back it with some type of stabilzer. I use 100% polyester. It gives it support but doesnt make the quilt stiff.
Then, just cut it out the size that will work for you and start piecing your top.
Some people just sew the t-shirts together without a sashing, but I like the look of fabric to separate the shirts.

You can add borders or not.
Good Luck!
