The New Windows are in ! ! !

The Guys did a really nice job installing them.

The Front Bedroom ~

and Kitchen/Dining ~

I'm so proud of them.

It makes the house seem so clean and fresh.

Just a few more days and the inside will be ready to paint!

Starting the Bathroom Renovation ~

 The Bathroom medicine cabinet, mirror and light fixture were all

mounted really low on the wall so

Garry took them down.

The hole has been patched and it is ready for the mud and tape.

The walls and ceilings in the Den and Bedroom are looking much better.

Just waiting for the mud to dry then they will get a final coat.

Bedroom ~

The kitchen had old acoustic tile on the ceiling.

It has been taken down

and replaced with sheet rock.

It is going to look s0 much better.

New Windows Tomorrow!

Texturing the Walls ~

We decided the walls needed a little repair

and some new texturing before they were painted.

It's going to put us a little further behind,

but I think it will be worth it.

It is already looking much better!

The windows are scheduled to be put in Wednesday!

Working on the Kitchen ~

Well, it wasn't part of the Original Plans, but . . .

we decided to take out the cabinets in the Kitchen.

The cabinet on the end just didn't fit right

and we thought it looked bad.

So . . . Garry took it down.

Not an easy removal.

Someone had installed it to never be taken down!

Now we decide we're not real crazy about the cabinets left.

They have to come down too!

While we're at it,

why don't we just clear out everything to the ceiling!

I know it looks Crazy

but we do have New Plans for this area!

There are always wiring issues!

I did get a start on painting the base boards, door facings and the window trim.

I should have done some chalking first

but I got in a hurry to see if I was going to like the color of the paint.

 

It will be an easy fix for Garry!

I'll follow behind him and touch up with the paint.

I only got the bedroom trim done

but I think it is going to look nice.

Ready for the new windows!

"A Feathered Nest"

We have started the Renovation!

BEFORE ~

Old linoleum in the Kitchen, Breakfast Nook and small Hallway.

We got all of that taken out and there are

Beautiful Hardwood Floors underneath!

They have never been stained or had a finish put on them.

We are going to have all of the floors sanded

and refinished throughout the house.

 I also worked on trying to pick out Paint colors.

This is always a hard choice!

 I think I have finally decided on

Sherwin Williams

"Universal Khaki" for the walls

and

"Dover White" for the baseboards, door facings and

window trim.

 I hope it will look nice!

New windows have been ordered

throughout the house.

 Hopefully they will be in next week.

I'm anxious to get them replaced.

So excited for tomorrow,

I will start doing some of the painting!
